Safari Baby Shower

Since having two little girls, I've grown to love all things pink so I really enjoyed making dessert for a pink safari-themed baby shower! The shower was in my hometown of Clifton at a quaint little restaurant called Trummer's On Main.
I love how my paper elephant garland turned out and looks like they're going on a journey.

10 Year Anniversary Party

My most recent dessert bar was for a couple's 10 year wedding anniversary.  I had so much fun planning with this couple because they were so low-stress about the party -- it made things way more fun.  We created a dessert table using different shades of white and silver with any color coming from the dessert.
I know better than to show up at a party without these ;)
Heart shaped mocha brownies - so good!  next time I'm making more of these because they went so quickly.
I used dresser knobs as place card holders.
I love the colors in the fruit tart!  I put the filling and berries in mini ceramic dishes instead of a tart shell and thought they looked beautiful.
Creme brulee served in mini martini glasses. Thank goodness I didn't burn down the couple's kitchen while using my new kitchen torch!
Salted caramel cupcakes.  This is only the second time I've made these and people go nuts over them!

Happy Anniversary, Chois!  Thanks for letting me be apart of your special night. :)

Baby Shower Treats

Silver fondant pram cupcake toppers
Cute baby rattles

A little late.... Superbowl desserts!

I'm aware that the Superbowl is old news at this point, however, I couldn't help posting pictures of the dessert I made for a party in Great Falls.

Did you think that's turf on top of these cupcakes?  Fooled ya.  And I made silver fondant football toppers and loved them.
Shout out to Eli!

I made s'more pops which were a huge hit!  Saved you the time of going out to the campfire ;)

Snow?

Today was close to 70 degrees! I guess we won't be seeing too much snow this winter in the DC area, but these cookies definitely make me wish it were snowing!

Candace Turns 30!

Over the weekend my friend Candace celebrated her 30th birthday by having a party for her close friends and family.  Her Mom and sister worked hard on the food and I took care of the table set up and desserts.  We had a lot of fun working on this party together!

Candace loves to play cards so a card themed party was perfect.

If you look really hard you can see the spade, club, heart and diamond fondant shapes on top of the mini cupcakes.

Playing card cookies!
White chocolate covered strawberries with sugar crystals... so good!

Happy Birthday Candace!

Happy 2012!

I've been out of town all week and did zero baking for New Years'; however, my sister hosted a gorgeous New Years' party and I have to show off the amazing pictures taken by my Mom!

Love the cupcake clock!

Such a beautiful Christmas tree!
I love the canvas of my new nephew above their mantle.
